  About the Project

Welcome to the Reminiscence Site of Untold Stories at Momentum Arts. Untold Stories, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, focused on capturing the lives and experiences of our Black and Minority Ethnic communities in Cambridgeshire through 4 creative strands. Through these strands we were able to reach more than 10,000 people through marketing campaigns, workshops in schools, development of visual arts, storytelling, and reminiscences. We have also published two publications and produced a Guide to Storytelling Toolkit for schools. Throughout the project, events were held to help capture the success of each strand and reaching further audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

The essence of Untold Stories was to preserve the heritage of Black and Minority Ethnic communities and their historical contributions to Cambridge through the development of publications, archives, online resources and exhibitions. We hope that we were able to achieve this and in the process touch the lives of many individuals from various communities and enabling them to preserve and share their heritages with others.

We hope that you would enjoy the stories captured here and be inspired to investigate and share your own stories alongside the wonderful myths and legends from different cultures within your own communities.
