M Jafar Mirza OBE Inspires Us
M Jafar Mirza OBE In 2006 Jafar was awarded an OBE for his commitment, dedication and relentless devotion to education. Jafar is the first Chair of the Cambridge Regional College from a minority group, and does it with great charisma, charm and courtesy. In 2005 the college’s new arts building was named in his honour.

Jafar is originally from Pakistan and has dedicated his life’s journey to raising the profile of Black and Minority Ethnic communities here in Britain. He has devoted the same dedication to his years in Cambridge serving too as the Chair of the Cambridge Ethnic Community Forum.

Jafar is described by many as a kind, gentle, humble and enlightening man and a wonderful family man. He always makes time to listen, advise and encourage individuals and communities.
